I received a copy of this movie in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.
The Little Mermaid is the first movie I can distinctly remember seeing in a movie theater. I know I saw other movies prior to meeting Ariel, Sebastian, Prince Eric and Ursula, but I can’t remember them. I remember I was still too short to see above the seats, so my dad had to track down a booster. I remember getting my very own bag of popcorn for the first time, and sitting in the row in front of my dad. It was a pretty big deal.
The next year, I got my own VHS copy of The Little Mermaid and I’m faily certain I wore through at least two additional copies. It was one of the first DVD’s I owned, too. Yes, I went to college with my DVD of The Little Mermaid in tow.
It’s been 24 years since I first heard “Part of Your World” and The Little Mermaid is still one of my favorite Disney movies, and now it’s one of my kid’s favorites, too.
I was super excited to hear The Little Mermaid would be available on Disney Blu-ray and Combo Pack on October 1. I’ve been trying to upgrade all of our Disney DVD’s to Blu-ray and it’s fun to find out which title will be released from the vault next.
Now I’m giving you the chance to bring the magic and nostalgia of The Little Mermaid to your home! Entries will be accepted until October 2nd, 2013. Giveaway is open to US and Canada. 18+ only, void where prohibited.
