Happy Sunday, everyone!
This week was a bit slow here on the old blog, but it was still exciting! I promise things are going to pick back up around here.
Be sure to check out my TinyPrints giveaway and win a $50 credit (plus free shipping) to TinyPrints.
And, don’t forget: my newest virtual race, the Eggnog 10k, is officially open for registration! This is a virtual race you do NOT want to miss! A virtual race means you can run/walk/bike/moonwalk your race wherever you are and whenever you want. Who could resist this Griswold-worthy medal/bottle opener!
You may have noticed I never continued with my #31Days of Marathon Training posts after October 1st. Truth is, I felt too forced to write about it and didn’t plan well. And as they say: fail to plan, plan to fail. I’m still going to continue updating you on my progress throughout my training, so be sure to stay tuned for that!
I also have posts coming up to help you plan for Halloween, a review of the Red Lion Anaheim, and my recap of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10 Miler. It’s going to be a great week!
We spent yesterday afternoon at our local pumpkin farm/festival and it was pretty much insanity. $50 and 2 hours later, we left without pumpkins and wishing we had chosen to go to a farm instead of a festival. It wasn’t a total washout, though, as we enjoyed unseasonably warm weather and plenty of sunshine. Anytime you can rock flip flops in mid-October in Buffalo is a good day, indeed. The kids and I also played support team to the husband as he completed a 16 mile training run in the morning and made a stop at the farmer’s market for homemade ice pops and free kid’s crafts.
Today will be spent cleaning and getting ready for the week and watching football. It’s nice having a lazy Sunday, knowing we have all day together tomorrow as well. Hooray for three-day weekends!
I hope you’re all having a great weekend! And Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian readers!
QOTD: Are you enjoying a three-day weekend this weekend?
